One glorious winters day I captured Leonie and Shayan in the streets of Fremantle. There are so many things I adore about Fremantle I wouldn't know where to start as it is just bursting with exquisite restored old buildings, stunning opulent doors and beautiful walls, a real treat for Perth wedding photographers.
I live around the corner from Fremantle and spend a lot of time photographing, sipping on coffees and drinking wines here. The special thing about Fremantle is as a wedding photographer you can shoot here at anytime of day. The little laneways provide beautiful walls of all colours and designs and shade, with pockets of light streaming down the streets. At night the bars and cafe lights bring so much soul to the little hub.
But on this day I managed to convince them to head down to South Fremantle for the glorious last light at sunset which did not disappoint. As often is the case with weddings and elopements, suddenly the day has flown by and the light is low. We only just made it down to the beach for the last minutes of light, possibly the most beautiful part of the day.
Leonie and Shayan were laughing and giggling all day, and I often captured them from a far as they enjoyed all the atmosphere on the streets of Fremantle. Leonie looked flawless in her elegant dress by Pearls Bridal matched with her soft florals by Terra and Luna Creative. Working with such a creative and fun bunch of vendors is always a treat.
